Jury Renders $9 Million Verdict in Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against Saint Thomas Heart

On Friday, January 18, a jury returned a $9 million verdict against Saint Thomas Heart for negligence that caused the death of our client’s husband. The jury found the physicians of Saint Thomas Heart negligent for failing, despite multiple opportunities, to properly diagnose Mr. Patterson’s cardiac condition and order the implantation of an internal cardiac defibrillator to protect him from risk of fatal arrhythmia.
