Lisa Paige Binder has been a member of the firm since 2007. She received a B.A. degree with honors from Tulane University in 1976 and a J.D. degree from University of Mississippi Law School in 1980. She was a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Academic Excellence.
Prior to joining Neal & Harwell in 2005, Ms. Binder was a shareholder of the Young Williams firm in Jackson, Mississippi, with a wide range of experience in litigation. She was appointed to the State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Civil Rights Commission and to the State Flag Advisory Commission. She was president of the Family Law Section of the Mississippi Bar and served as a court-appointed mediator. She was also honored as a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation. In Tennessee, Ms. Binder has served on the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Tennessee Bar.
Ms. Binder continues to focus her practice on litigation in both state and federal courts, with a concentration in domestic, employment, personal injury and white-collar criminal matters. During her career she has participated in more than 25 jury trials and more than 100 domestic trials, has successfully defended state and federal prosecutions, has obtained multimillion-dollar personal injury jury verdicts, and has maneuvered hundreds of domestic clients through the trials and tribulations of separation and divorce. She is admitted to practice law in Tennessee and Mississippi.
