Larry W. Lindeen joined Neal & Harwell in 2006 following his retirement from Exxon Mobil Corporation. Throughout his three decades of practice in the ExxonMobil Department of Law, he practiced in the General Corporate, Natural Gas, and Refining/Environmental Health Departments and served as Coordinator of the Legal Specialties Group.
The majority of Mr. Lindeen’s practice focuses on defense of civil and criminal environmental matters, including state and federal grand jury investigations, enforcement actions, Superfund matters, and administrative violations and cleanups in the areas of air, water, hazardous waste and toxic substances, as well as related civil and criminal litigation with the U.S. Department of Justice, state attorneys general, district attorneys, and private litigants.
Mr. Lindeen graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in biological sciences in 1965. He received his J.D. from Indiana University in 1969, and his L.L.M. in international law from the University of Miami in 1976, where he prepared and defended his thesis on Recognition and Enforcement of American Money Judgments Abroad, and was a member of the Board of Editors of Lawyers of the Americas. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, Courts of Appeals for the Fifth, Eleventh and District of Columbia Circuits, as well as the U.S. District Courts for Colorado and for the Southern Districts of Illinois and Indiana.
