David G. Thompson

David G. Thompson joined Neal & Harwell in 1999. His practice is concentrated in the areas of bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, banking, contracts, real estate, commercial and corporate law. He handles legal matters on behalf of corporate and individual clients throughout Tennessee and nationally. Mr. Thompson’s transactional practice is designed to meet the needs of his clients in an efficient and expedient manner, with a focus on client advocacy and resolving conflicts.

Mr. Thompson is a 1996 graduate of the University of the South/Sewanee with a B.A. degree cum laude in philosophy (with distinction) and a minor in fine arts. In 1999, he received his J.D. degree cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he was a member of the Tennessee Law Review and served as a student materials editor.

During his third year in law school, Mr. Thompson was law clerk to The Honorable Houston Goddard, who was presiding judge of the Tennessee Court of Appeals.
